Ali and Kenny’s Fairytale Wedding, Minneapolis
December, 15 2017
Ali and Kenny’s winter wedding was just like a fairytale! The couple tied the knot in Minneapolis in magical fashion.
The couple opted for a wedding color palette that epitomized the season. They chose icy blues and silvers, which gave the wedding a truly winter-inspired aesthetic.
Ali donned a cap sleeve dress with a lace bodice and tulle skirt. It accentuated the fairy tale vibe and brought the perfect touch of grandeur to the occasion. She topped off the look with a cropped faux fur cape, which kept the chill away and brought a nice touch of texture to the look. Kenny kept things classic with a black suit, silver striped tie, and a simple boutonniere.
Ali and Kenny took their formal portraits at the James J. Hill Center, a stately location for Minneapolis wedding photography. We especially love the photos of of the back of Ali’s dress as she walked up the stone steps, and Kenny dipping Ali in front of the grand stone staircase. With the James J. Hill Center, Ali and Kenny were able to take advantage of plenty of locations for photos, from the grounds to the majestic staircase.
As a special surprise on the day, Ali received a hand drawn bridal portrait. It was a sweet momento of the day, and the look of joy on her face when she received it made for some sensational wedding photos.
Off to officially tie the knot, the couple headed to the Shoreview Community Center for their ceremony and reception. Ali and Kenny welcomed guests to their reception with some creative wedding signage. The couple used raw wood with wood burned stenciling for an artisanal feeling. “Welcome to our happily ever after,” one sign read, bringing it back to that winter wedding fairytale vibe. Sweet and simple pine garland and pinecones made up their centerpieces.
