All Smiles at California State Capital Park: Marisa & Chad’s Session

Marisa and Chad took to California State Capitol Park for a late September engagement session. They were all smiles and looked deeply in love as they posed near picturesque views of the Capitol Building with stunning trees and various exotic flora and fauna lining the memorials in the background.
We loved the rich colors that they chose to wear that brought in the richness of the fall season. Marisa opted for a deep burgundy off-the-shoulder dress that was the highlight of their engagement photos, while Chad donned a navy-blue suit and matching tie. They posed against the perfectly manicured gardens with the memorial buildings standing tall behind them in a stately presence.
The couple looked incredibly natural in front of the camera and posed with the ‘love’ sign that they brought. The added signage brought out another dynamic to the otherwise laid-back session, and we could tell the couple was at ease with one another as they both leaned into various shots.
Case in point, their rose garden pics were to die for! And the cactus added textural interest to the background.
The couple had a quick change of clothes and took to the second half of the session in a picnic-y setting. Their Sacramento engagement photographer captured multiple looks as they wrapped themselves in an oversized checked scarf.
