Andrea and Kellen’s Snow-Dusted Charlotte Wedding
December, 1 2017
Andrea and Kellen tied the knot in a snow-covered outdoor winter wedding. The couple held their frosted January nuptials at The Hut in Charlotte. We love that Andrea and Kellen opted for an outdoor wedding ceremony, even though it was probably chilly.
Their Charlotte wedding photographer captured the couple and their guests bundled up for the intimate, majestic ceremony. Andrea and Kellen tied the winter theme into their decorations, flowers and attire with tones of blue and white, which highlighted the “winter wonderland” tone of the event. They kept things cozy and sweet with light colors and decadent wraps to stay warm. The garland that wrapped the altar was airy and white.
The soft sparkle of Andrea’s wedding shoes and delicate cluster of baby’s breath in her hair perfectly mirrored the fallen snow. The couple got lucky with a light dusting of flurries on the ground, which gave their winter wedding photography a magical effect.
The men kept things casual with crisp white shirts and mismatched blue ties. It was light and bright, and it took advantage of the southern winter weather. We absolutely love when couples take advantage of their location and surroundings, especially if that means the gents don’t need a suit coat for a January wedding!
Instead of a white wedding dress, Andrea donned one of our favorite non-traditional wedding trends. She rocked a cool grey-blue tulle skirt with a white silk camisole. The pop of soft coral she incorporated with her wrap was perfect against the setting sun.
Andrea and Kellen then revealed with their family and friends with an intimate and cozy reception. They enjoyed a petite coral wedding cake, and the entire affair culminated with a sparkler send-off.
