Arabelle & Dennis’s Vibrantly Hued Wedding, Philadelphia
July, 27 2017
When Arabelle and Dennis tied the knot in Philadelphia, they did it with electrifying style. The couple proved how beautiful show-stopping colors could be! The result? A non-traditional affair that was equal parts playful and tasteful.
Arabelle’s unique wedding dress featured touches of cool and colorful embroidery. The ornamentation on the shoulders was a subtle yet vivid way to bring color into her dress, one of the non-traditional wedding trends we love. Because the flourish of color was concentrated to the bottom of the gown, the photos that capture the whole ensemble have a different vibe than those that are cropped to show her white bodice - proving that you can have the best of both worlds.
The bridesmaids wore a mismatched dress in different bold colors. The groom and groomsmen each wore a navy suit, saving their color pops for their ties and socks. Each member of the bridal party looked unique, but it all came together in a cohesive way.
The couple held both their ceremony and reception at Material Culture in Philadelphia, a dramatic emporium of art, antiques and handcrafts. The venue provided a stunningly unique backdrop for these kaleidoscopic nuptial. With the wide variety of wares at Material Culture, the space offered ample opportunities for interesting wedding photography - from a photo of the groomsmen in front of hanging rugs to a snapshot of the bride and groom sitting on a couch with an eclectic backdrop.
The couple kept it personal when it came to their wedding cake. They used postcards and fondant stamps to celebrate the different places they’d traveled! The cake was playful and heightened the guests' sense that they’d been transported into another world for Arabelle and Dennis’s festivities.
If you love bold colors, Arabelle and Dennis proved that you don’t have to shy away from them on your wedding day. Deep blue can be just as dazzling as a light peach, and your wedding colors can be just as vibrant as your personalities!
