Ashley and John’s Bright and Beachy San Diego Wedding

There’s no doubt we live for beachy summers, and Ashley and John took it one step ahead with their stunning early June-wedding at Scripps Seaside Forum. You might remember their cute and casual engagement session with us at La Jolla Brewing Company and Balboa Park. If not, check it out right here for inspiration.
Moving on to their San Diego wedding photography, Ashley’s getting ready photos were gorgeous and creative with the bridal shoes, gown and other details beautifully displayed. We loved the variety of shots!
But the couple had our hearts melting when they exchanged notes with each other. We loved this romantic gesture and their genuine, emotional photos.
Ashley and her bridesmaids wore similar floral robes during the prep, with the bride in a distinctive white robe and the girls in dark blue. We loved this harmonious, but definite distinction!
The girls then changed into classic, long navy dresses in mismatched style. Some gowns were lace-adorned and others were kept simple. The bouquets were bright, cheery and spring-y with coral, reds, burgundy and yellow flowers. We loved the explosion of colors against the rich navy and bridal white.
The groomsmen looked debonair and complemented the blue beauties in gray suits paired with navy ties. Their bright boutonnieres added a pop of color to their gray attires and balanced the whole look impeccably.
The wedding party moved to the fabulous seaside where Ashley and John gave us some amazing beach portraits, captured by their San Diego wedding photographer. We absolutely loved the group photos, too.
The picturesque ceremony by the sea, with bright flowers marking the aisle and adorning the arch, was just to die for. And the cheerful décor flowed over to the reception, too, but with a fun travel-themed twist. Their reception space was decorated with globes, a world-map for guest signatures, city table-names and a large assignment board that was splendidly creative.
Ashley and John kept the dessert table a bit whimsical with a mini cake, miniature treats, and pastries. The careful (and cheerful) thought and that went into every detail, even the cake topper, made this whole day truly unforgettable.
