Boston’s Outdoors Added More Charms To Elena and Sean’s Engagement Photo Session
December, 29 2022
Picturesque fall and love in the air are the best ways to describe the lovely city of Boston. The other seasons here, in Boston, are just brilliant. But there’s something exceptionally beautiful about fall in the city. The fuzzy glow of the sun, and with colorful leaves strewn about, the city comes to life in the fall season. And the beautiful engagement session Elena and Sean had in Boston, we were convinced that the city truly comes alive in late fall and early winter. The outdoor engagement photo session took place in one location only, the couple wanted to enjoy the most of the beautiful outdoors. For the day, the couple met our Boston engagement photographer, who was ready to go! Our engagement photographer was excited about the location since the couple had spoken about it. Before the engagement photo session began, the couple discussed some photo ideas that they wanted to see in their engagement photos. The couple were also dogged parents and brought their doggo along for the photo session to be a part of the photos. On September 12, 2022, the couple began their wedding preparations with a romantic fall photo session. Sean and Elena talked to our photographer and told them all about their wedding planning and the vendors they had booked so far. Elena gleefully expressed that she had already picked out her wedding dress and was super excited about their wedding day. Sean nodded his head, with a soft smile playing at his lips, then softly added, he couldn’t wait to marry the love of his life, and that made Elena blush. The photo location for the day was lovely, picturesque, and immensely romantic at this time of the year, Harold Parker State Forest.
Boston, the city of many things, is a picturesque place with a lot of things to do and a rich, historical past. Nicknamed the Athens of America, The Cradle of Liberty, and The Hub of the Universe. However, our favorite nickname for the city is “Beantown.” Interestingly enough, the city came to be known as Beantown, which has its roots in one of the most famous dishes from the city, Boston baked beans! Being one of the oldest cities in the country, Boston has many stories, doused with historical significance and is peppered with some of the most interesting relics of the past, Old North Church, Plimoth Plantation, which is a living history museum that allows you to experience the 17th-century American life, The Granary Burial Ground, which is a small cemetery that is the resting place of many people who changed the course of American history, to name a few. Speaking of relics of the past, the city is still home to some of the oldest buildings and houses, which are now historic house museums, buildings that go back to 1661, the James Blake House (1661), Paul Revere House (1680), and Thomas Mayo House and Tavern (circa 1680) are some of the most notable ones. So, apart from the Red Sox games, the city has much more to offer. Apart from these historic buildings, the city is peppered with wonderful things to see and do. The city is home to many lovely parks, beautiful waterfront locations for families and individuals to enjoy, a large number of museums, and colorfully bright street art. The city is always bubbling with electric excitement and a great vibe! Apart from this, to enjoy the better vistas of the city, Boston has a lot of hiking and walking trails, one of which is the beautiful Harold Parker State Forest.
Apart from the beauty of the area, the state forest comes with a lot of history. Reforestation in the area began almost immediately after the area was acquired by the government. The government bought dozens of pastures and woodlots. For reforestation, the government hired “emergency unemployment crews.” The state forest was named after the first Chairman of the State Forest Commission. The forest is home to many winding roads, which take you to the beautiful Berry Pond. Berry Pond Road is just as picturesque as every other part of the forest. With many pools, the forest also is home to a lot of flora and fauna, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The forest is home to giant water bugs, fairy shrimp, wood frogs, spotted turtles, and much more. Another interesting thing about the forest is that beaver lodges are a very common sight here. The picturesque abundance of the forest makes this place the perfect spot for an engagement photo shoot location. Our photographer couldn’t have asked for a better location and approved Elena and Sean’s choice. Happy with the location, our photographer had begun scanning the area for the perfect spots for the couple to pose in. Our photographer, like the couple, was impressed with the tall, straight-red pine trees! These massive trees not only gave Harold Parker State Forest an impressive look but also added to the romantic beauty of the forest!
The day of the photo shoot started off as a pleasant day and continued to get better as the day passed. The couple had decided to take photos only during the day, they did not want evening shots. The couple was not only great with directions and prompts given by our photographer, they were natural in front of the camera! And, above all, their doggo was the perfect partner as well! For the day, both of them were dressed in pretty outfits for their engagement photo shoot! Inspired by the season, the couple decided on stunning fall-Esque outfits! Elena chose a lovely shirt dress, with a pretty belt as her engagement day outfit. Her shirt dress had large checks, with green, white, black, and white. She let her hair down for the day, and to make her outfit fit the season she also paired it with a cute white woolen hat with a fluffy top! To complete her outfit, she paired it with some accessories. She added a thin tan belt around her waist for the dress, a pair of black tights, and black ankle boots! To match his fiance's outfit, chose a fall-inspired outfit too! He even incorporated the colors of the season into his outfit. He put on tan-brownish pants and paired them with a textured white knit sweater, and a large ash black shirt. To complete his simple, yet stylish engagement outfit with a pair of sneakers! The black sneakers with white taping and brown soles were just perfect for the day! Instead of opting for an outfit change, Elena decided to use two different looks with the same outfit. She posed for a few photos with her hat on, and then posed for a few photos without the hat. She also brought a black coat to add more stylish charms to her outfit! In both, the couple looked especially happy and excited about the life they have been planning ahead.
The moment the couple stepped into the forest, they wanted to take photos everywhere, they just loved the forest that day! And their four-legged buddy was just as excited as them. Walking hand-in-hand, the couple were deciding on the spot to start their photo sessions. The couple knew that they wanted to use the backdrop of the straight trees that hovered over them, to take some photos next to the pond and take photos near the boulders. Talking about it to our photographer, our photographer knew exactly what to do. Our photographer suggested walking around in the park, for starters. The couple agreed and happily started walking around because they wanted to take some “natural photos.” Our photographer suggested taking some in-motion photos. So, our photographer helped them with some ideas and prompts, so that Elena and Sean could pose for their photos. For a few couple photos, the couple chose to leave their doggo with our photographer, and the best part was that their furry friend was not only fun company but exceptionally well-behaved. When their four-legged best bud of the couple was sitting next to the photographer, the couple posed for some romantic photos. Elena and Sean decided to pose for a photo while they were hugging. Then Elena gingerly put her hands on Sean’s chest, blushing and smiling, she posed for a photo. We feel that this photo is worthy of being framed and put on the mantle of their home! Then the couple wanted to pose with their doggo! As the two crouched down, their doggo ran back to them and snuggled right up! The photo that our photographer took is not only an Instagram-worthy shot but also perfect if the couple was looking for a save-the-date card photo for their wedding invitations. The lovebirds happily giggled at their pet. Then Sean held their doggo in position to get their face in the photo! Elena happily giggled and laughed, enjoying the sight in front of her. Then the couple wanted to take a few in-motion photos with their beloved furry friend. So, our photographer suggested, they should walk towards our photographer and do what they usually do when they’re taking their buddy out for a walk. The couple promptly agreed to do exactly that and the results were absolutely perfect! The fun part about their pet-friendly photo shoot is that their doggo was enjoying the outdoors as much as their pet parents.
Then the two decided to have some photos in different locations of the state forest. Before they could explore the outdoors, they decided to pose with their doggo as well. The furry brown, four-pawed friend was more than happy to put on the best smiles as its pet parents. Sean was tremendously happy, sometimes his childish side would come out to smile and laugh. Our photographer took one of the best photos when the couple decided to take one last photo with their furry friend. The couple decided to lean into a kiss, which surely did not go unnoticed by their furry friend. Before the couple’s lips touched, their furball looked up and you could see the look on their face, as if to say, “I am right here!” And then, Elena and Sean were dedicated to having a photo with their furball in the middle as they leaned into a kiss, so they continued leaning in. And right when their lips touched, the cute little furball jumped up and licked their lips, right in the middle as if to tell them that the doggo loved its pet parents too! All of this happened in a split second, and that’s when our photographer realized that some of the best things happen within seconds. We loved the photo as much as the couple did. Of all the engagement photos we have seen with pets, this one has to be our favorite shot. After the photo, the couple fell back on the ground to laugh a little, and their furball wagged its tail as if to approve of what they just did.
And then, the couple decided to take a romantic walk around the state forest and asked our photographer to take natural photos of the couple. The two discussed their plans for the future, and lightly giggled every once in a while. Reaching the waterbody, the couple smiled and softly spoke to each other, happy in each other’s company. When they noticed our photographer getting ready to take photos of the two, Elena and Sean turned around to face the camera with natural smiles. They posed for some more photos in front of the waterbody. Their outfits were in-line with the wonderful fall season. After a natural photo, the two held hands and posed with smiles on their faces. Then before Elena switched up her engagement photo shoot look by taking her hat off, the couple posed for a few more lovely, romantic photos. Our photographer helped the two lovebirds with the poses and helped them with a few prompts. Elena and Sean inched closer and wrapped their arms around each other for a cute photo. Once they were done with that, Elena decided to take off her hat, she softly combed her hair with her hands and then smiled, which suggested she was ready to take some more photos. When she took off her hat, the couple decided to walk around the greener parts of the forest instead of the tall trees, which had more of a late-fall season vibe. The greener parts of the forest showed us the best of early fall flora in Boston, and we’re in love! Elena and Sean walked through some of the prettiest places in the forest, with the smaller green trees and shrubs popping in the backdrop! From Elena hugging Sean from the back to Sean turning around to turn the hug into a soft, romantic kiss, from standing next to each other with bright smiles to taking a spot on the picnic benches to pose, the couple was prompt and excited to try out different photo poses for couples! Sean and Elena found a pretty spot peppered with green shrubs with spiny, needle-like leaves. The couple shared that the space reminded them of Christmas, which was still quite a while away.
Towards the end of their outdoor photo session, the couple played with their four-legged baby, who was more than happy to be around them and run around the open space. Sean took the leash and walked their furbaby for some more photos. Elena pulled out her black coat, which was the last piece of an outfit change, for their photos. Then to complete the slight change to her outfit by pulling on her white hat! Once she was done switching up her outfit, Sean and their furbaby joined Elena for some of the last photos! The couple looked charmingly happy and picture-perfect. As our photographer took the last few photos, Elena and Sean asked to see the photos, just to see if they needed to pose for more photos. However, when our photographer showed them the photos from their photo session, the couple’s faces lit up. Smiling, the couple looked at each other, and it was easy to see that the two of them were not only made for each other but were head over heels in love with each other. The couple walked out of the state park with our Boston photographer, before bidding their goodbyes. After seeing their photos, we can imagine that their wedding will be a dreamy one!
