Fall turns to winter. Soft greens and harvest golds make way for shades of berry, plum and crimson.
These darker hues are a knock-out against ivory and white. However purple and red wedding colors can take you way beyond the bouquet and inform your entire bridal style -- from nuptial nails to wedding decor.

Thanks to the trend towards mix and match bridesmaids gowns, these ladies in red look confident and coordinated without being matchy-matchy. We love the variety of takes on color and theme -- from burgundy pleats to deep rose off-the shoulder styles.
Meanwhile, this groom looks hip and handsome in a burgundy velvet suit with skinny trousers … which stops just short of upstaging the bride.
Looking for a more subtle introduction of color? For gals, consider crimson lips, burgundy nails or ruby shoes. Guys look modern and smart with magenta ties and pocket squares.
Let’s not forget the flowers. Switching to blooms, shades of crimson add a dramatic touch to any table. A bouquet of burgundy daisies, paired with white roses, creates a playful, almost whimsical, feeling. While purple lilies look decidedly sweet tied together with paler shades of blooms.
