Chelsea and Dylan’s True Texan Engagement and Wedding Experience
February, 28 2020
An engagement session that kicked off in a true Jumbo State style and moved on to wedding photography in a romantic rustic setting - and had Texan love written all over it! Chelsea and Dylan had an amazing engagement session that had such great elements of the arid state. Their wedding reception was no different when it came to imbibing the western elements.
The gorgeous engagement session took place at the Stockyards Station which is situated in the heart of Fort Worth Stockyards. The engagement session venue has a perfect blend of "wild wild west" vibes and new Texas culture! Fort Worth Stockyards is home to a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and shops. We love how our Dallas-Fort Worth engagement photographers have incorporated the Texas vibes in the couples engagement photography.
For the beautiful Fort Worth engagement session, Chelsea wore a red-colored cold shoulder dress along with typical cowgirl boots. We loved the boho vibes of the dress! Dylan looked spiffy in a classic blue shirt, blue denim, and tan boots. He completed the Texan look with a cowboy hat.
The couple was the epitome of romance as they were captured kissing under the signboard. The shoot moved to the White Elephant Saloon and it couldn’t get any more Texan! The legendary drinking spot is adorned with all sorts of cowboy hats and has strong Texas vibes all over it!
The duo then posed in front of the Maverick mural (yet another Texan delight)! We loved the effect of colors of this engagement photography - subtle and classy. Soon they were joined by horses and cowboys and photography became even more authentic. After all, what is Texas without a little ‘yee-haw!’
Post that, Chelsea and Dylan posed romantically against the backdrops of brick walls, brick floors, rail tracks, and the ranch fence. Well, wait! That’s not it. The best was yet to come, as the gorgeous couple was soon joined by their doggos outside the Cowtown Cattle Pen Maze! We loved the bone signs that both of them were wearing. While Chelsea’s dog was wearing a sign saying ‘I loved her first’, Dylan’s dog was wearing an equally cute one that said, "Daddy asked and Mommy said yes."
The engagement session ended with an indoor photoshoot at the Varsity Tavern after getting classic portraits outside, under the logo.
And finally, the big day arrived! Chelsea and Dylan’s wedding day was nothing short of a Texan dream! The wedding was held at the Gruene Estate, which spans over 15 acres and comprises vintage buildings and gorgeous lawns. The buildings here date back to 1857 and include a beautiful open-air wedding chapel. We simply love the unique San Antonio feel of the Gruene Estate.
The day began with Chelsea and her galpals posing together in their getting-ready attire. While Chelsea was dressed in a white oversized shirt, the bridesmaids were dressed in light blue ones.
Soon, Chelsea changed into her wedding gown and totally nailed the wedding look! We are still swooning over her bridal dress which was a white organza-skirt wedding gown. She looked beautiful in the gown with long and lacy sleeves. The bridesmaids looked stunning in mismatched violet and pink gowns.
Dylan looked dapper in a gray suit and tan shoes. The groomsmen wore mismatched suits in different shades of gray. We totally loved the photoshoot of the bride and groom with the bridesmaids and groomsmen. The landscape and the sky were perfectly complimenting the theme of the day - love!
Another favorite of ours is the flower arrangement of the bouquets. We absolutely adore the use of violet in the bride’s bouquet, perfectly in sync with the bridesmaids’ dresses.
The romantic portraits of the couple were the highlight of this stunning San Antonio wedding photography. The duo struck absolutely dreamy poses against the gorgeous sky and lush green landscape. It couldn’t get any dreamier than that!
The decor of their Gruene Estate wedding was delightful and gorgeously captured by our San Antonio wedding photographer. The table setting and rest of the decor had a great Texan touch. The green foliage lent a brilliant rustic look to the decor. The table numbers, painted on cactus leaves reminded everyone of their roots!
We are totally in love with the cake topper of Chelsea and Dylan’s wedding cake! Apart from the bride and groom, the topper also included figurines of their dogs. Aww, we woof that! The guest seating plan and the memorial table had a beautiful rustic feel to it.
Finally, the romantic ambiance of the wedding was captured flawlessly as everyone danced to the mellow tunes under the rustic and well-lit wooden ceiling. Chelsea and Dylan’s wedding was high on the romantic scale. And when two pet lovers unite, it’s one big happy family!
