Erica and Jen-Kei’s Charming and Creative Austin Engagement Session

Erica and Jen-Kei showed us how to take on big city charm as they celebrated their engagement in the Seaholm District of Austin, TX. An up and coming urban district of Austin, the location was an interesting contrast to the gorgeous, bright elements of their engagement session. The industrial, urban setting made for a sleek and modern backdrop in this outdoor Austin engagement session which was all about spending quality time together.
Erica and Jen-Kei decided to mix things up with two wardrobe choices to add a formal as well as casual touch to their engagement session. In the first part of the session, Erica wore a traditional Chinese dress to honor her fiancé’s roots - a beautiful tribute to their shared heritage as a couple. And Jen-Kei complemented Erica’s classic look and formal feel of the session with a matching red tie. We loved the coordination in their attires which made their photos even more special and meaningful.
After a quick change into more casual clothes, Erica and Jen-Kei made the most of their surroundings as they explored downtown Austin and their photographer captured their romantic chemistry in front of some truly unique buildings and street art. The buildings brought a wonderfully creative urban allure while the street art added a dash of color to the photos. And while talking about Austin’s art, who can forget the iconic ATX sign. A monument to Austin pride, the ATX sign made Erica and Jen-Kei’s versatile engagement session even more surreal and colorful.
As the sunset approached, the two had some lovely photos snapped on a local bridge. After all, no city engagement is complete without a sunset. The angles and unique features of the bridge framed the photos beautifully and helped Erica and Jen-Kei in showing that you can have a light, bright and personalized outdoor session in a modern setting
