Festive Inspiration for Your 4th of July Wedding
June, 30 2017
If you’re officially tying the knot on the 4th of July, do we have festive wedding ideas for you!
This holiday is a popular day to get hitched - and it’s no wonder! It’s a perfect time of the summer season and can be quite fun to combine a wedding day and Independence Day celebration. Cue those fireworks!
1. Let your wedding party wear some kind of festive attire for the big day! We love the idea of adding star-spangle socks for the groom and his groomsmen!
The bridal party can wear navy blue dresses and sparkly silver shoes, while the bride can wear navy or red wedding shoes. This is a great way to add a pop of color against the white wedding dress, and it gets you your something blue! Feel free to accessorize accordingly with romantic red and white flower bouquets or with your jewelry.
2. Showcase that American pride with patriotic props and centerpieces! Get your DIY skills in full swing and make your own combinations/decor of flowers, flags in stands, picnic baskets and more!
3. Make an extra sweet [freedom] statement with a red, white and blue detailed wedding cake! This can be done with flowers, frosting or fruit - our summery favorite! Consider adding a few quirky red and blue touches like action figure cake toppers!
4. Celebrate both your married life and Independence Day with a traditional American flag to use in your wedding photos - either as a backdrop or small prop. Go big by using the flag to wrap around you and some of your guests, or keep it small by holding a tiny American flag for a sweet photo prop.
5. Last but not least , celebrate your unity with a sparkler send-off! This is a day to honor and cherish forever - and sparklers are a festive choice for this holiday. Make sure your wedding photographer captures the magic.
Let freedom (and marriage bells) ring! We hope you have a safe and happy 4th of July! Share your favorite red, white and blue ideas with us in the comments.
