How to Look Fresh in Wedding Photos

How to look fresh on your wedding day, and in your photos!
Looking fresh in your wedding photos all day can sound intimidating to some, especially if you’re set to face a heatwave or spontaneous weather changes. No worries! Our wedding photographers here at Lily & Lime have gathered some helpful ways to avoid the mid-day melt.
Grab some blotting papers and keep them in your purse, pocket (if you’re wedding dress has them!) or with a close-at-hand bridesmaid. Thankfully, they don’t take up much space but make a big difference in wedding photos. Dab on any areas with excess oil. Not only do they eliminate shine, but they keep your makeup in place. A must have.
Avoid glittery or luminescent lotions. We know luminous doesn't sound like a bad thing on your wedding day, but you want the glow to come from within! Glittery or sparkly lotions can end up looking like sweat in photos. They can also rub off on your groom’s face or tux. Eek!
As far as facial makeup, HD finishing powder and products with shimmer can reflect light when the camera flash goes off (called flashback) creating little white spots on your face. Just say no!
Make sure your makeup artist is setting the final look with a setting spray. This will ensure the whole look lasts through the very end of the day. From your first look photos to the firework send-off, your makeup will be beautifully consistent.
Last but not least, don’t forget to whiten your teeth. You’ll be smiling all day!
