Jen & Richard’s Sweet Philadelphia Engagement Session
November, 2 2017

For their fall engagement session, Jen and Richard headed to the Morris Arboretum at the University of Pennsylvania. Their simple shoot and cozy engagement style resulted in wonderful photos that really showcased their personalities.
While we love it when couples incorporate a good prop into their engagement photos, sometimes it’s just as swoon-worthy when they opt for a pared down session. Jen and Richard kept things casual, and comfort was of the utmost importance. It’s easy to see that they felt like themselves, and their Philadelphia Lily & Lime engagement photographer perfect captured their authenticity.
Keeping things natural is key if you’re a bit camera shy. It’s easier to open up in front of a camera when you look and feel like yourself, which, in turn, results in remarkable engagement photos.
A location like the Morris Arboretum at the University of Pennsylvania is great for an engagement session because there’s so much room to explore. Changing backdrops helps give the photos a different feel without having to change outfits. Plus, the warm, autumn light really made Jen and Richard shine!
The soon-to-be newlyweds sported the perfect fall look: Richard in a Burgundy sweater and Jen in a white long sleeve shirt - a casual nod to the white dress on her wedding day! At the end of the session, the couple threw on their peacoats for an extra fall touch.
