Kathryn and David tied the knot in an intimate Southern winter wedding. Their Charlotte affair was the embodiment of crisp and cozy.
Kathryn wore an embellished bridal gown for her big day. We love the pairing of the intricate beading with a simple silhouette. It accentuated without overpowering, allowing her flower crown to pop. The lush greenery and vibrant red flowers gave us serious holiday vibes while also feeling as fresh as the first day of spring.
Kathryn matched her clutch to her dress, opting for a delicately beaded bag that dripped with elegance. She even had time to give her favorite pooch a couple of pets before the wedding. Before stepping outside, she topped off her look with a brown faux fur cape. We are obsessed with the way this bride embraced warm hues to maximize the effect of her winter wedding details.
David donned his military uniform for the nuptials. He looked sharp and dashing in his uniform, and the bride and groom's looks really worked to complement each other.
Winter doesn't necessarily mean snow in the South. We love the way the couple embraced greenery instead to give us that woodsy, evergreen feeling of the season. Kathryn and David worked with their Charlotte wedding photographer to use existing decorations, like the wreaths and greenery at the chapel, to get the best wedding photos.
The couple said "I do" in an intimate chapel ceremony. Small ceremonies can allow for more privacy and personal moments. We love this one even more because it's a military wedding. For a couple that's had to endure distance, it's lovely that their wedding got to be just about them.
They captured the joy of the day with a variety of backdrops for their wedding photography. The groom posed with the groomsmen in front of the waterfall is replete with laughter. Kathryn and David got to be playful, poking their faces out of the church door. They also had moments for drama, with sweeping romantic portraits shot outside. All in all, the day was the perfect way to begin a marriage.
