Kayla & Sebastian’s Whimsical Miami Affair
September, 14 2017
Kayla and Sebastian’s Miami wedding was a classic affair, with whimsical details that showcased the couple’s individuality throughout the day.
Kayla began by getting ready with her bridesmaids, while Sebastian prepped with his groomsmen. Sebastian finished dressing before the ceremony, and instead of just hanging with his groomsmen, he picked up his guitar and strummed a few tunes. Music is important to both Kayla and Sebastian, something they celebrated during their ceremony by singing a song together.
Before the ceremony at Granada Presbyterian, the couple did a first look, one of those unforgettable wedding photography moments we love. It allowed their Lily & Lime wedding photographer to capture the magic of Kayla and Sebastian seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day in a more intimate setting.
Kayla’s bridesmaids wore short, nude chiffon dresses. While they all wore the same color and material, each gal rocked a different cut. The mismatched bridesmaids dresses allowed Kayla’s ‘maids to go with a style that fits their personality. Sebastian’s groomsmen look as handsome as ever in navy suits.
The bride and bridesmaids all carried white bouquets with a few blue blossoms that added a bit of color. Kayla’s bouquet was tied with a long navy ribbon for an added element of drama.
The couple then celebrated with family and friends at their outdoor reception. They danced the night away and worked up quite the appetite for dessert! The couple kept it short and sweet with their wedding cake, opting for a one-tier cake flanked by other delicious dessert options. The cake was adorned with a ring of baby’s breath and a handful of roses.
Of course, a couple that sparkles this much needed a spectacular send off. Wedding guests bid farewell to the newlyweds by lining up outside the tent as Kayla and Sebastian walked through a sea of sparklers - swoon!
Remember, if you’d like your wedding photographer to capture moments like this, be sure to discuss that beforehand - they’ll need to bring proper lighting equipment for these night shots.
