Elegance, sophistication and a whole lot of urban charm made Maria and Laith’s engagement session in D.C. unforgettably stunning and stately.
The simple yet beautiful outdoor engagement session started at Newseum, as both Maria and Laith walked hand in hand in a neighboring park. The minimalist setting captured the light perfectly and the surrounding greenery made a wonderfully picturesque background for the photos. Natural yet refined!
A city like D.C. is the perfect location for a little formality and we love how Maria and Laith took this opportunity to get dressed up a bit, especially Maria. Her black dress stole the show with its dramatic style while adding a little interest and movement to the photos with its material and texture.
Now, if you are ever in doubt, parks and nearby nature reserves are usually great engagement session locations, and D.C. doesn’t disappoint with its beauty. Its spectacular scenery and iconic, stately buildings serve as splendid backdrops that never cease to amaze. So Maria and Laith took full advantage of D.C.’s offerings and moved on to snap a few iconic photos in front of the Capitol Building. Sitting along the edge of the Senate Fountain, their wedding photographer had the opportunity to capture some adorable moments and poses as blooming flowers and serene water surrounded Maria and Laith while the Capitol Building loomed in the distance. And the romantic dip was just what we needed to make it truly unforgettable.
As the sun set over the city and a golden glow surrounded our charming couple, capturing golden hour moments was a must-do. And as night came and blanketed everything in a cool blue, Maria and Laith marked the end of the day with a warm embrace. If you time your portrait session carefully, you too can capture a mix of both daylight and night shots.
