Matt and Jennifer’s Charming Charleston Engagement Session

Matt and Jennifer’s Charleston engagement session was the perfect juxtaposition of comfort and elegance. They showed us how feeling comfortable and confident in your photos is key to getting remarkable engagement photography.
The couple selected White Point Garden as the location for their engagement session. White Point Garden is a charming location in the heart of Charleston’s historic district, and it’s the perfect spot for some perfect engagement photography.
White Point Garden is full of diverse backdrops that each represent Charleston in some way— from views of the Charleston Harbor and Fort Sumter to a lovely gazebo and an a grassy path lined with palm trees. Matt and Jennifer used many of these settings in their session. The unique, Charleston flair helped to give the engagement photography a relaxed, hometown vibe.
Jennifer donned a beautiful red dress that added a “wow” factor, while keeping her comfortable, while Matt sported navy pants and a light sport coat. We love the way that Matt’s mismatched suiting and brown shoes kept things feeling casual. With the groom-to-be in neutral colors, it really allowed Jennifer and her dress to pop.
Whether they were posing under towering, old oak trees or in front of an intricate iron gate, Matt and Jennifer kept things feeling comfortable, which resulted in some really stunning engagement photography.
