Photographers Tell A Wedding Story … Without Being At The Ceremony
December, 16 2016
At times, weddings seem like the ultimate dichotomy. A very public celebration of a most intimate event.
Portland couple Madelyn and Andrew chose to keep their September nuptials private -- which meant no photographs at the actual ceremony. But as you can see, our Lily & Lime wedding photography pros were more than able to capture their love story and their eclectic wedding style -- which we’d describe as elegant, vintage and definitely romantic.
We love the choice of color palette -- warm pinks and golds look soft and romantic against sophisticated basic black -- which plays out beautifully in bouquets, decor and bridesmaids’ style.
We’ve seen a lot of brides and bridesmaids moving towards formal separates as they offer flexibility and are often times easier to fit. Check out David’s Bridal and BHLDN for options in every price range.
In fact, Madelyn liked the ladies’ look so much, she did a “Diana Ross” -- changing into a coordinating reception dress just for the party! (Scroll to the bottom to see her end-of-the-evening look.) Although, truth be told, we are pretty smitten with her choice of wedding gown -- especially the attention to detail. Gorgeous lace. Silk buttons on the sleeves. And oh, the hair! (Check out "25 Braided Hairstyles" by Wedding Chicks for some serious braid-spiration.)
Andrew followed suit with a floral tie -- a pop of pink against a black backdrop! You can find similar floral accessories for the guys at the Tie Bar.
The milder autumn weather provided opportunities for many outdoor shots -- both playful and romantic, and highlighted some of Madelyn and Andrew’s favorite places -- ultimately showcasing their unique wedding story, while keeping the ceremony private and sacred.
