Sierra and Aron’s Intimate San Diego Wedding
March, 14 2018
Sierra and Aron tied the knot with an intimate wedding in San Diego, CA.
The day started with bridal prep and Sierra got ready at home nearby. When possible, getting ready at home can be such a nice way to keep you comfortable on your big day, and we love the personal touch it brings to wedding photography. We think important days should start at home!
Sierra wore an a-line strapless gown with a beaded bridal sash. We loved the black accent added to her bridal style. It really added a pop that contrasted nicely against the setting for their formal photos. Aron wore a grey suit— minus the jacket. It was a choice that gave him a polished, handsome look while feeling well-suited for a more casual and intimate day.
The couple had planned for the ceremony to be on the beach at La Jolla Shores, but due to high winds, it had to be moved. Sierra and Aron handled the change with aplomb, showing us how to keep an even keel on your wedding day (after all, it’s about celebrating, not sweating the small stuff!). They moved their ceremony to an indoor location on the fly.
The couple opted not to have wedding parties. Instead, each of their sisters dressed up to signify their importance. If you’re planning a wedding, this is a great way to cut costs (for both you and your closest friends) while still highlighting the important people in your life and making them feel included in your wedding.
Sierra and Aron exchanged vows under a pretty arch of linen and greens. Mason jars of baby’s breath lined the aisle, and they were surrounded by close friends and family. It was still a perfect way to tie the knot.
The couple posed in front of the San Diego shoreline for some carefree wedding photos. We love the relaxed and joyful approach that they took to their wedding day. They still look lucky in love, despite the last minute location change!
Following the ceremony, the Sierra and Aron had a meaningful reception dinner party at Brockton Villa Restaurant. They sat amongst friends and family, and they even had an (impromptu!) first dance.
