The Graceful Blue and White Wedding of Macy and Steven!
June, 15 2022
October 29th was more than a day for Macy, Steven, and their close and dear. October 29th was the day Macy and Steven tied the knot, promising to be with each other, through joys and sorrows, for the rest of their lives, promising to stay by each other’s side no matter what. That day everything lined up, perfectly beautiful, befitting the couple and the occasion of the day, from the pleasant weather to the pretty outdoors. They say, “love is in the air,” and that does apply to pristine days of October too. The month is primarily known for its spooky vibe and the end of October, especially, is closely associated with the colors of Halloween, black and white decor, and all things spooky and skeleton. But when it comes to Macy and Steven, the lovely couple, went against the conventional spooky October wedding that has been associated with the month for ages, and honestly, we dig their take on an October wedding! Not a single spooky skeleton in sight, the grandeur of the October wedding, for the couple, came with elegant white, satin blue decor, and overflowing emotions! The two chose a pleasant theme, and made their October wedding an elegant affair! As the wedding had drawn close, the couple was in high spirits. The wedding venue, Riverwood Mansion, was dressed up in the elegant choices of color scheme, and came to life with cheerful whispers of the wedding guests, awaiting Macy and Steven Lane to tie the knot.
Riverwood Mansion, Nashville is a picturesque location with wonderful scenic beauty, perfect for wedding ceremonies, and reception parties. A delicate mix of different cultural attributes, the architecture of the venue has cues from the Greeks and the Egyptians. The elegant estate is filled with large trees, and canopies, bringing the simplistic beauty of nature to its patrons. The wonderful mansion, stands tall in the middle, surrounded by lush trees, giving its patrons a sense of being hugged by nature’s arms, even when they’re indoors. The high ceilings only add to the Greek and Egyptian attributes of the historic space. Bringing the best of Southern hospitality to anyone who steps into the villa, this establishment offers a gracious garden view. The indoors are complete with hardwood floors, and slim doors, paired with equally slim windows and marbled fireplaces. The entry to the garden wedding venue is paved with gravel and paired with landscaped shrubs, giving it an eerily beautiful ambiance. For their special day, the couple decided to keep their wedding celebrations indoors. Although Macy and Steven loved the outdoor setting just as much as they loved the indoors, their idea of a picture-perfect wedding seemed to align well with the indoors. And when our wedding photographers stepped indoors with the couple, and stayed with them during the day, capturing timeless memories of their wedding day, we can understand what a beautifully perfect indoor wedding looks like.
When the sun came up on October 29th, Macy and Steven couldn’t wait for the day to unfold. After months of wedding planning, rehearsals, and last-minute changes, the two were sure that the day would be nothing short of a magical moment. The day was cloudy, but their spirits were extremely high. As the couple reached the wedding venue, which is only a short drive from downtown Nashville, the two quickly went to get dressed. The groom did not have any plans for getting ready for photos, but the bride, Macy, was extremely excited about her getting ready photos. After all, she’d been waiting for the day for ages! The groom, on the other hand, was extremely excited for their first look photos, more than getting ready photos. And when the moment arrived, we knew why Steven had been looking forward to it. Macy and Steven held hands and smiled at each other, for them the day couldn’t progress any faster. They simply couldn’t wait to get married. As all beautiful journeys, theirs too was peppered with a brief moment of the wait. But like anybody wanting to get to a particular destination in their lives, the couple couldn’t wait, and we don’t blame them. Deep, deep in love with each other, the two said see you soon to get ready for the day.
Steven, dressed up in a deep blue three-piece wedding suit, paired it with a red boutonniere. To add a touch of synchronicity to the wedding theme, he chose a wine red tie to complete is his wedding look. The dressing room was pristine white, decorated with brilliant white and red roses woven into wonderful greenery. The minimal decor in the dressing room made the space look wonderful, and as the bride and her bridal party entered, the room instantly lit up with cheerful laughter and talks of the day. Our wedding photographers captured the delicate wedding details. To build the gracefully elegant wedding theme that Macy and Steven had chosen the right kind of wedding stationery to set the tone. The beautiful off-white background, with gold borders, delicate lettering, and deep gray feather-like illustrations to top it off. Macy, soon-to-be Mrs. Lane’s, wedding vows were delicately tucked into a light tan envelope, with cursive wording, Her Vows. The wedding rings and delicate teardrop earrings were placed on the wedding stationery. To set the tone for the celebration of the wedding day, the bride and her party were welcomed with white wine, delicious strawberries, and juice. The bridesmaids dressed in satin blue robes, while the bride-to-be donned a white robe. Pouring a glass of wine each, the girls gleefully talked about their plans and the things they were looking forward to. To make the moment even better and memorable, Macy had picked out some custom-made candies for her bridal party, handpicked some delicious fruity options, and had customized some handmade chocolates with words like Soon to be Mrs. The bride and her bridesmaids posed for some beautiful portraits with bright smiles. As the time for the wedding ceremony began to inch closer, the girls promptly began dressing up for the occasion. As the bridesmaids chose to dress up first so they could help Macy with dressing up. As the bridesmaids were dressing up, we took some bridal gown detail photos with Macy.
The beautiful wedding dress was delicate and had a silver, embroidered waistline. The elegant off-shoulded wedding dress fit right into Macy and Steven’s idea of a beautiful, elegant wedding. For the day, Macy dressed up in her wedding dress and chose to wear her hair in a loose side ponytail, which made her wavy hair look wonderful. The make-up choice for the day was deep, yet light, very natural. The bridesmaids helped Macy complete her look, brought her earrings for her to get dressed and walk down, and find Steven, who was waiting in the courtyard for the love of his life to walk up to him. Macy took one last look at herself in the mirror, before stepping out of the door, walking down the area where the wedding ceremony was to take place, and out of the beautiful metallic arbor decorated with white drapes and roses, out to the courtyard. There, she found Steven, with his back to her, waiting for Macy to tap his shoulder. He had been fidgeting, looking at his watch, fixing his wedding suit, restless. When Macy found him, Steven was standing patiently, knowing all too well that Macy was looking at him. The two lovebirds stood still, glued to their spots, for a second. The two took a moment to immerse themselves in their emotions, the day they’d been dreaming of together, was finally here, it was finally happening. As the fleeting moments passed quickly, Macy took measured steps toward her soulmate, who was still waiting for her. She turns around, looking wonderfully beautiful, smiles at everyone, almost to tell her loved ones that “I can’t believe it, it's happening.” before tapping Steven’s shoulder. As she taps Steven’s shoulder, he wastes no time, and turns around quickly, with a million emotions racing, and his face says it all. Smiling at her, he plants a lovingly kiss on her forehead, and then on her cheek. He couldn’t stop smiling at his soon-to-be bride. Before the two went back indoors for their indoor wedding ceremony, the two smiled brightly at our photographers for some additional first look photos. Bumping heads with each other, lovingly the two shared a moment.
The couple stepped into the venue, hand in hand, for the wedding ceremony. The hall was minimally decorated, with pristine white covered chairs, and an arbor for the ceremony. The retro wall lights added a romantic glow to the room. Macy walked down the aisle, with Steven waiting for her at the altar, smiling. Exchanging loving glances, rings, heartfelt vows, and sealing the ceremony with a love-filled kiss, the two were married. The room erupted with cheerful voices, and congratulations came flooding in! As the ceremony came to an end, the guests dispersed for the cocktail hour, the groomsmen, the groom, the bridesmaids, and the bride stepped outdoors for a wedding photo session! After taking a few more couple portraits, our photographers took some shots of the whole group! With high spirits, the bridesmaids in their wine dresses, with a satin top, gathered around the bride to pose for the photos! To remember the heartfelt moments, the groomsmen and bridesmaids gathered around the bride and the groom! Before the reception party, the boys came together to click some photos as well. Steven and his groomsmen stood shoulder-to-shoulder for their photos. Steven gave our photographers some striking poses, with his gentle smile. We found Macy as well and clicked some beautiful bridal portraits for her. Our photographers captured the details in the background and her bridal bouquet as well. Her fall bridal bouquet was a wonderful mix of red and white flowers, with minute deep purple additions with delicate bouquet filler greenery. As the time for the reception party came closer, the groom, the bride, the bridesmaids, and the groomsmen, excitedly entered the space.
Before the couple took their spot for the reception party, the two decided to pose with each other families for more wedding photos. After that, the two entered the reception party in high spirits, as a married couple. Like the indoor wedding, the couple had chosen to have an extravagantly elegant indoor reception party, with bold centerpieces with red and white roses, with a backdrop of greenery. Much like the beautiful groom and bride, the theme of the reception was dressed in white and blue. The white tablescape, with minimal table decor, was paired with chairs dressed in big gorgeous blue bows. To complete the look graceful elegance of the reception party, the centerpieces were presented in metallic baskets, placed on a plate with tea lights in transparent holders. The deep shade of the hardwood floors added a balancing factor to the couple’s wedding theme! As the guests found their spots and tables, Mr. and Mrs. Lane, for the first time, took the dance floor together. Slow dancing, with arms around each other, smiling at each other. As their first dance ended, the couple separated to dance with their families and enjoy the moment, opening the dance floor to their guests after that. As the night progressed, Macy and Steven stepped out for a breath of fresh air, and as the two laughed and smiled, our photographers decided to click some candid photos of the couple. When Macy and Steven realized that the photographers were around, they posed for them. The natural greenery of the mansion was brought to life with string lights and served as the perfect, dreamy backdrop for more wedding photos.
After a small breather, the two went back inside to their reception party, and enjoyed themselves with family and friends! Talking to their guests, the two reminisced old memories and laughed at jokes. A wedding is more than just about a couple tying the knot and promising to be each other. A wedding is about coming together and sharing your love, as well as those who are close to you. Looking at Macy and Steven enjoying their evening with everyone was amazing. As the night was coming to a close, the two decided to have the wedding cake cutting ceremony. The wedding cake was cream white with beautiful red flowers and greenery as cake decor. The wedding cake fit the theme and had the flowers from the bridal bouquet for synchronicity in the themes and decor. The two cut the cake together, celebrating the day of their wedding with great joy and happiness! With big smiles and bear hugs, the couple excitedly shared their smiles with everyone around them. After cutting the cake, and making sure everyone gets a piece of the cake without a problem, they poured a glass of champagne to add the finishing touch to their wonderful day. As they were sipping from their glasses, we found the couple, and they gregariously smiled at us and posed for us by interlinking their arms and sipping champagne! Before the night ended, Macy and Steven sat down next to each other on their “Mr. and Mrs.” chairs, laughed, and enjoyed themselves with everyone. When the party ended, the couple walked out of the wedding reception party, hand in hand, with a spring in their step and with hope in their eyes for the life they were to build together.
