Wedding and Engagement Photos With Your Furry Friend
March, 31 2017
Your wedding is a day to surround yourself with your closest friends and family, including your sweet puppy! Today, we're sharing some inspiration with you on how your furry friends can be part of your special day, too. After all, your pup is your best accessory!
Here are 6 examples of how to incorporate your dog into your wedding day:
1. Save The Dates
Get creative and plan ahead with puppy-themed save-the-dates! Have your engagement photographer place your pup front and center with a creative sign in their mouth or propped up against their paws! We absolutely love the phrase, “My Humans Are Getting Married!”
2. Accessories
Spruce up your pup’s look with a fun little accessory! Ties, bows or bandanas can add that extra oomph to your wedding photography or engagement session. You can find these adorable accessories on Etsy!
3. Flower Wreath/Crown
While flower wreaths and crowns definitely fall into the “accessories” category, we love this idea so much we had to create a separate tip! We truly cannot think of anything cuter than a dog wearing in flowers, so consider asking your florist to craft something special for your pup!
4. Photo-op
If your furry friend will be present the day of your wedding, let your Lily & Lime photographer know so he or she can set some extra time aside to capture these images.
5. Bridal Portrait Session
If bringing your puppy to the wedding is too much of a hassle, have them accompany you to your bridal portrait session instead. This way, you get a little one-on-one time with your pup and have some photos of just the two of you - no distractions!
6. Family Portrait
We love a good family portrait, especially with matching accessories! Pick out accessories for them that match your wedding style. If you have a male dog, dress him in a blue tie to match your groom. If you have a female dog, slip on a flower wreath or crown that matches your bridal bouquet!
Some may say diamonds are a girl’s best friend. We say: Those are really nice, but we definitely need our pup!
